Half-Life games hanging

Is anybody having trouble with Half Life under WinXP?
Now it has become each time I exit the game it hangs. It didn't do so before on the old drivers, but I think the new ones from Win Update, the 23.12 did something...
I heard many times people had trouble with the current Nvidia drivers with WinXP when playing HL games including CS.

The other day I heard an explosion from the other side of town.... It was a 486 booting up...

Yes, I have a similar problem - maybe 20% of the time WinXP will hang completely upon exiting the game.

Running Gamespy Arcade seems to make it do this more - are you running GSA?
