Cheap Vid Card

I am putting together a PC for a family member. I am not a hard core game guy. I believe the person who will be using the PC will at least want to be able to play the newest games for a couple years. What is the best card for the price (CHEAP)?

i would think any one of the geforce 2 cards except from probably th gdforce 2 ti.
you should be able to find a geforce2 card for under $100 easily.

Look into GeForce2 GTS and GeForce2 PRO cards, both under $100 at some places. The worst is the GeForce2 MX200 which has about 1/4 the power of the GeForce2 GTS. The MX400 is about half power of the GTS.

Or the Kyro2 chipset, it is between as a MX400 or GF2 Pro benchmark-wise (only prob is no HW T&L) though there is a Sis (dont know the number) out sometime which isnt too bad, about equiv to MX200 with T&L

YOu may even be able to pick up a cheap Radeon since their new chipset came out...

I dont know about you all but I have been looking at the CardExpert Gainward GF2 Ti 500 XP W/64MB ram with 4ns chip
$97.00 64MB w/tv out GF2 Ti 450 4.5ns
$119.00 64MB w/tv out and VIVO (video in & video out) GF2 Ti 500.
Also avaible is a 64MB 3.8ns Ti550 w/tv out and VIVO
