I was wondering if there's any way I can create a Google search box for my website that automatically adds the site:btvillarin.com to the end of it, so that the search page will shows pages relevant to my site only.

Notes:
WYSIWYG editor - Dreamweaver 4
FTP - Dreamweaver 4 integrated FTP

Thanks!
Bryan

That's alright.

I was thinking that if it wasn't feasible, is there a good search service from another site that has little (or even no) banners?

Try taking a look at this.

Google's WebSearch enables your site visitors to search the Internet. With Google's Free WebSearch, you can co-brand search results with your color scheme and logo.

The optional Free SiteSearch enables you to restrict searches to the domain(s) you specify.

Note: The free SiteSearch option is a sub-index of Google's main index. Updates are determined by Google and there is no guarantee of pages crawled.

Unlimited queries
Free: the award-winning search is free, but Google reserves the right to serve ads on the search result pages
Co-branding: your logo can be displayed above the search box in the header of the results page
Customization: you can customize all the key aspects of the results page including the background, link properties, text properties and many other elements
Fast installation: have search up and running in less than five minutes
Optional SiteSearch: enable your users to search your site with Google's optional SiteSearch

 :frown:        - What do you want to feel today? :)
Edited by orbz on 05/05/02 05:05 PM.

Thanks orbz! I saw that, and I was debating about it. But, I guess it won't hurt to try it. I can always remove if I don't like it, either.

Forgot to post an update, but I'm now using the free package from PicoSearch. You have to index your site manually, and it does up to 1500 pages. I'm only at 105 or something, so I'll be okay for awhile. Other than that, it's really fast and efficient.
