Hey I posted this question yesterday and maybe I'm not familiar with these discussion boards, but I don't know where it went. Can somebody tell me what they would recommend for me? I'm not looking for anything spectacular, no gaming involved, do I really need a 64 Mb video card for my linux web server?

For running a web server, any card with 4 MB of RAM should work. You don't need the 3D performance, and more people will be using the computer remotely than localy.

RAM Disk is not an instalation step.

doubtful...
i'd say stick with the minimum card right now...
ie. any one of the geforce 2 cards.
i would recommend getting either a geforce2 mx200 (around $50-$70)
or a geforce2 mx400 (little higher than the mx200).
im assuming that you're not going to play any 3d games or whatever...

The GeForce is made by Asus, the company that makes my motherboard, right? If so, does that mean I'll have better compatibility if I go with the GeForce?

GeForce cards are made by lots of different companies, including Asus.

A card and board of the same brand doesn't make any difference for compatability.
