I'm running a:

PIII 1GHz Intel(r)82815
384MB SDRAM
GeForce 2 Pro 64MB DDR
40GB WD7200
Creative AudioPCI 128

My question is:
Will my system make efficient use of a GeForce 4 Ti4600, or will I have bottle-necking somewhere before output?

Your sys will be a bottleneck- SDRAM and P3 is just too low man.

Would that mean that the GF4 Ti4200 would give me similar results as the GF4 Ti4600?

I'm probably going to get the card, but if I can save $100 and not really notice any loss in performance, I'd like to do so.

Anyone else?

Thing is, a Gf3 would suit u- anything higher ur CPU would be teh bottleneck. There would be a minimal difference on your sys between a 4400 and 4600.

Indeed,
with a GF4 you need any AthlonXPs,or P4s over 1.5GHZ to unlock the GF4's power.

Unless, of course, all you're looking for is FSAA.
