See even NVIDIA makes bad products <A HREF="http://www.tt-hardware.com/article.php?sid=2133" target="_new">http://www.tt-hardware.com/article.php?sid=2133&lt;/A>

And some analysis from rageunderground:

a) The GeForce4Go won't run 3D mark 2001 in the Toshiba Satellite 5005's native 1600 x 1200 resolution. MOBILITY RADEON 7500 will.

b) M7 is faster in the Quake III v 1.3 Demo Four (the most rigourous test) mode.

c) GeForce 4 Go only has a 2x Anisotropic Filtering Engine

d) OEMs are saying it uses twice the power of M7

e) In 2X AA mode, where you'd expect NV17M to be ahead because of its GeForce 3 memory architecture, but M7 is STILL faster.

f) When you run M7 up against NV17M in Quake III, with 4xAA turned on for NV17M and 16x AF turned on for M7, M7 delivers superior image quality AND almost THREE TIMES the frame rates.

Then the Mobile Radeon 7500 is the best solution. Anything that has GF4 MX is crap.

I Love playing on my GameCube or PC cuz there both ATi powered...

Agreed, nVidia has taken a poor marketing move in calling the NV17 the GF4MX. A GF3MX or GF2TiSomething would've been more reasonable.

This reminds of Intel made the Cacheless Celeron.

lol. My freinds has a cacheless processor, and it is mad slow.

Only if you let me see the Umpa Lumpa- Homer Simpson.

Are you forgetting that Joe Consumer doesn't read these things?

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

So lets tell Joe Consumer all about whats going on.

I'm willing to bet that nVidia is going to be making most of their money on the GF4MX.

Joe consumer doesn't listen to geeks, but sometimes he does read Consumer Reports, the company that got Huffy to get rid of the crossbar on their BMX bikes handlebars so that kids wouldn't hit their heads on it (now they hit their heads on the ground when the handlebars collaps, GREAT IDEA)!
So basically Joe gets his info from the uninformed, from computer companies (like they're honest) and from the salesman (you thought the manufacturer was dishonest).

It fits with almost any decor, takes up very little space, and impresses chicks with it's art deco style!

The chics dig it really alright got to get me a imac. But on a more serious note macs aren't to bad I mean there os 10.1 is super stable but lack of software and variety in the hardware section puts me off from macs the way chics are put off by --------- -----

Some food for thought digit-life has a super comprehensive video card shootout this pic shows one of the tests <A HREF="http://www.digit-life.com/articles/digest3d/itogi-video..." target="_new">http://www.digit-life.com/articles/digest3d/itogi-video...;/A> some interesting points the overclocked r8500 at 310/590 (remeber slow drivers plus no bga memory)gets 68 at 32 bit in rtcw and the overclocked gf4 ti 4600 and stock gf4 ti 4600 both get the same score of 88.2 at 32 bit, this show two things imagine the score the rv250 at 350/700 (with much much faster and stable driver and enhanced core with bga memory)will get when released to retailers in late march/early Apirl. The second thing the gf4 in its CURRENT state is clearly optimised for popular benchmarks how else do explain the performance increasre of the 0/ced gf4 ti 4600 in quake3 (different page) but not in rtcw.

Don't forget that RTCW is one the games that is currently plagued by the "High Polygon bug" with the R8500. The bug fix should squeeze a little more performance out of the card. Anyway, from that chart (as it compares 16-bit to 32-bit), it seems that the R8500 core is just as powerful as the GF4 Tis but the R8500's memory is holding it back.

yeah, the RV250 also know as the Radeon 8800 or the Radeon 8500 Ultra will put the GF4 Ti in its place. Remember ATi has a T&L Engine and Vertex shader working in Parrell. Well Direct 9 is based off the R8500 design so the R300 will be giving the NV30 a spanking. Nvidia is starting to look like the late 3DFX "Go Drivers but lossing ground to Other Makers".

R300 Will have:
!!!! 8 rendering pipelines / 3 TMU !!!!!
350MHz Core / 400(800)DDR-SDRAM
Pixel Shaders 2.0 / Vertex Shaders 2.0

Now thats called a Nvidia Killer.

Hold on don't get too excited I dont think the rv250 will put the gf 4 in its place I expect the benchmarks to be close, but I believe the rv250 will offer the most bang for the buck. More importantly ATI fixed all the bugs including the high poly bug (this may provide a very significant performance boost but too early to tell).

i hope so, but im waiting for R300 *starts to drool*
