Direct 3D vs OpenGL

Ok...So what are the differences between the too. My personal experience is that D3D is much worse, but I was just in a forum that had a guy with a GF2 GTS using it as a preference to OGL. I'm confused.

Generally speaking, D3D requires less processing power, from both the card and CPU, but at the expense of some quality/accuracy. For most computers it is much faster.

I've seen this question asked many times, and even asked it myself.

The general view seems to be that they are both about the same.

The difference probalby comes when you are programming with them - many people say that directx is unnecesarily complicated and un-intuitive compared to OpenGL

OpenGL is better.

I Love playing on my GameCube or PC cuz there both ATi powered... :smile:
