I was reading newegg reviews on the Visiontek Xtasy 5632
Some people said they had 5.5ns ram instead of the standard 7ns. Where can I look on my card to see the ram speed?

Heres a link to the product

Please note that that is the rating, not the speed that it is actually running at. If it does in fact have a lower rating (in nanoseconds), it will overclock better.

Look on the RAM chips themselves. You would have to remove any RAMsinks currently on the RAM. The codes differ between different RAM manufacturers, but you should see a 7 or 5.5, or 55, or 70, or 7.0, or...you get the idea.

Look at the last picture. See the "-7" at the end of the first line? It's 7ns SGRAM.

The speed of the RAM is right on each of the DRAM chips. There are 8 DRAM chips on that card, four on the front and four on the back. You'll see a bunch of numbers printed on the chips. One set of numbers will end with a "-7" or a "-6" (for example). This is the key to the memory speed. 7 means 7 ns and 6 means 6 ns but 65 means 6.5 ns. If you want to translate those numbers to clock speeds take the number, 7 for example, and divide it into the number 1 then multiply by 1000. Continuing the example, 1 divided by 7 equal 0.143 (rounded to the third decimal place). Multiply this by 1000 and you get 143 or 143 Mhz. (That's 286 mhz DDR).

Hope this explains it well enough.
