Hmmm, I want to ask, whether a better graphic card give less load to the cpu when watching a movie? Mine now is Diamond stealth 4 mb, I used to use it with p2 300, and it was terribly lagging. Then I change to xp 1600, the load is still 100%, but it is much better, but still lagging. If I change my card to let say radeon 8500, will it lighten my cpu load?

Thanks

it will look the same, divx doesn't get any better. It's like a picture in a photo album, you can put on 500$ super glasses and it stay the same, the quality is up to who takes the picture and develope it.

try this maybe, not sure if it will answer any of your questions but worth the try. see if they got a link to divx faq
