<A HREF="http://www.specbench.org./gpc/opc.data/summary.html" target="_new">http://www.specbench.org./gpc/opc.data/summary.html&lt;/A> THE BENCHMARKS are not standardised for example the gl 8800 uses 87 mb texture memory but the quadro is set to use 110 mb texture memory. The performance of the quadro 4 looks good though systems with it look kinda expensive compared to other cards like the fire gl 8800 and quadro 2. Also some of the workstations with the quadro 4 are running with xeon chips not so for the fire cards.

One more thing new NDA benchmarks show the rv250 in dx8 rendering 117 million triangles per second (50% truth I think) And the fire gl above use the same pcb but clocked at 300/300 not 350/350.

That's nearly twice as fast as the maximum throughput of the R8500. Is ATI going to revise the T&L engine again in the RV250? By the way, 100million triangles/s is enough to render a movie like Toy Story II at 30fps in real time.
