I am using the DWL-G520 configuration utility. In the configuration tab
there is a window specifying to select ENABLE or DISABLE for IEEE802.1X. I
can only log on when I select DISABLE. And then the utility does not hold
that setting. When I reboot I have to choose DISABLE again to get online.
The instruction booklet is very confusing regarding the IEEE.802.1X window:
"When encryption is enabled, you will have the option to specify the level
and key format of the encryption used. Slecte the appropriate Key Index: 1-4
and enter ACSII or hexadecimal digits in the appropriate field."
Considering that window asks for you to choose only enable or disable I'd
say the instruction booklet is in need of revision. The window above that,
by the way, is the Key Length window and the instructions are the same for
that window.
Tech support, based in India, was not able to understand my question
regarding the IEEE802.1X window. They were not able to tell me the correct
setting or to resolve my problem regarding having to reset to DISABLE every
time I boot the computer.
