Windows 8 w/ Classic Shell

Has anyone tried Windows 8 with "Classic Shell" Sourceforge project? I just read about Classic Shell, and it sounds like what I'd need to be willing to upgrade to Windows 8.

Does it just change the start menu or does it change the folders and menu bars too? Does it use a lot of memory? Any foreseeable problems with it?

If I can get the look and feel of earlier Windows and bypass Metro, then I might be willing to upgrade for the promo price.

I haven't used that, but I have used Start8, and it works pretty well. It completely hides metro (unless you intentionally open it from the start menu it puts in), although it seems that it doesn't always load the desktop on a fresh boot. (I have to manually click on 'desktop' to get there.)
