Hello,
When I click on the Quicken icon to open the program I get several beep like
sounds. I click on the bar to close the windows and then the program will
come up. I went into the program folder and manually removed it, reinstalled
it, but I am still having problems when I click on the icon or click on
Quicken on the start/program bar.
Also, when I try to remove the program from the control panel the install
shield comes up to install the program instead of remove it.
I appreciate any feedback this group may have.

You cannot normally remove an icon from the control panel or do you mean add
remove programs from withi nthe control panel? When uninstalling some
applications the install shield will come up as the uninstall is part of the
same package just that later on in the routine you might be given the option
to eitherrepair, modify or uninstall.

Do you want to fully uninstall Quicken or just remove it from the control
panel (which would require a registry edit). could you confirm because it
is not that clear.
