Check this link at http://www.tbreak.com/hard/grfx/hercules_8500le/page5.html 1600*1200 in serious sam it is only 5.7 frames slower than the very expensive monster the geforce 4 ti 4600 and also performs well at 1280*1024. Imagine this card is clocked at 250/250 lower than a retail radeon 275/275. I would not be surprised if the upcoming radeon xt 300/300 beats the overpriced ti 4600 in serious sam and perhaps other open gl games maybe thats way ATI is delaying the release of the rv250. And check the rest of the review its good reading too. GO ATI GO! Imagine they fixed the drivers like they said they would. ;-)

What driver are they using? It seems to be an older driver. Serious Sam also saw a boost with the new 6043/9017 drivers. Also, at 275/275 and with the latest drivers, the Radeon 8500 should match or outperform the Ti4600 in Serious Sam under OpenGL. Also, I might add that the DirectX bug on the page after that doesn't seem to exist anymore.

AMD technology + Intel technology = Intel/AMD Pentathlon IV; the ULTIMATE PC processor
