Is overclocking notebooks possible; if so has anyone been successful?

It's possible, but heat is a major issue. You don't want your keyboard melting onto your motherboard.

you can, but not to the degree the desktops do.
also, the laptops aren't capable of running fast enough to melt stuff, low voltage, it tends to make the system unstable faster than a desktop.
