I have a W98SE machine with a dialup modem and ethernet NIC.
I have a WXP client laptop with ethernet NIC I would like
"connected" to the W98SE machine via a pair of EnGenius
802.11b 2611-CB3 bridges.
I want the laptop to connect to the modem via ICS on the
W98SE machine.
If I hardwire the XP laptop to the W98SE machine as a test,
ICS sets up nicely as long as I select DHCP but the EnGenius
cards want to be identified by private network IPs - hence
a problem in how to set up ICS without DHCP.
Anyone have any ideas on how to do this? Hopefully
I am asking the right question.

Set up your clients as follows:
IP: 192.168.0.2 - whatever (only the last octet changes, e.g. "2", not to
exceed 254, different for each machine)
subnet mask 255.255.255.0 (same for all machines_
default gateway 192.168.0.1 (same for all machines)
dns 192.168.0.1 (same for all machines)
