I know there are a lot of topics on this but I still havn't gotten to
the solution.
My computer screwed up a few days ago, so i decided that would be a
good time to try XP (instead of 2000). So I got a fresh, expensive
copy, of XP and installed it on my computer. It worked fine, untill i
downloaded Service Pack 2 from the updates. That's when my computer
restarted (usually happens after you install big updates), but then
when i get to the Windows logo with the blue loading thing, the
computer restarts... and restarts... and restarts. Over and over again.
I did get in Safe Mode though and restored it to BEFORE i downloaded
SP2.
After downloading a few programs that i use, it's back to doing the
same thing, and I'm on SP1 now. For instance, i just downloaded AnyDVD,
when windows restarts after the isntallation, it never loads up, just
restarts over and over again. So then i restore it back to before i
installed AnyDVD. The weird thing is, even now, while working on the
restored version, when i restart, it doesnt load up, it keeps
restarting. So i have to go back and restore windows again, but back to
what i was using before i restarted!
I checked Microsoft, and they said something about UMAX Scanner drives,
even though i have no idea how i would check if i had such drives on
here. Any help would be really really appreciated because i have no
idea what's going on, and I can't update my windows, or download any
program that requires a restart since, it'll never load up again.
