What exact version of SimCity are you trying to run? I'm running SimCity 4 Deluxe Version 1.1.638.0.

I am able to run SimCity 4 Deluxe in Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Edition without any problems.

What do you mean by "simcity box windows 7 patch"? Are you talking about running SimCity in windowed mode instead of full screen?

I use this command/target in my shortcut:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -introff -r1600x1200 -f

The -intro: option can have a value of off or on and controls whether or not the intro is played when you launch the game.

The -r option is the graphics resolution you want the game to run with (in my case 1600x1200). You need to change the resolution to one that is supported by SimCity and meets your requirements (the valid choices are 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, and 1600x1200).

The -f option is fullscreen mode, change it to -w for windowed mode.
