I am planning on upgrading my video card. I am also on a budget so I have to get the lower end card. My choices are the GF4 MX440 and the GF2 TI or are there anything better? I'm lookin for a Geforce base card. They both cost about the same and I was wondering which is better? Please have some comments if you know about these card. Thank you.

I have just got the system below and I asked for a GF4 MX440 but the people I bought it off couldn't get it to work so I had to get a GF2 Ti instead.

Specs:

AMD Athlon XP 1700+ Processor
Gigabyte 7VTXE KT266A Dual BIOS DDR Motherboard
256M PC2100 DDR RAM Kingmax/kingston
Winfast Titanium TH 64MB DDR (GF2 Ti)

In raw speed I think the Geforce2 Ti is little faster. The MX440 will might have the edge if you use FSAA.

However, in the under $100 video card market my top choice would be a Radeon 7500.

Oh, I forgot. You said you prefer a Geforce based card. Tough choice. I think whichever one is cheapest. I was eyeing a nice Gainward Geforce2 Ti450 refurb for $69 at Newegg.
