I am hoping for some insight to what you guys think is the best "bang for your buck" DirectX 8.0 card out there.

I will be using the card mostly for video capture from DV camera (have separate 1394 card), but will someday, when I find some free time, play Medal of Honor.

Thank you in advance for your input.

The Radeon 8500 Retail is by far the best bang for the buck. $150-160 for performance that is not that much behind the GF4 series (anywhere from 0 to 15%, and closing with drivers), of which the cheepest card available is $300 and still hard to find.

I do not like it Tom you see,
I do not like green PCB.

Thank you for your inputs, however, I should have stated in my original post that since I don't need DirectX 8.1 functions, I was trying to save money and go with the best DirectX 8.0 card.

Same thing. DX8.1 doesn't have much more than DX8.0, and of the DX8.0 and DX8.1 cards, the Radeon is the best price/performance. THe Gf3 series is beat by it and priced similarly, and the GF4 series costs too much for a performance margin that is slowly dwindling.
