i just sent a post concerning my registry & the error messages i keep
getting. i have also looked into the repair registry type articles. they
inform me that in order to correct this problem i must create a backup copy
of the registry. my computer gives me another error message stating that the
application has failed to start because the file framedyn.dll is missing &
that i should consider reinstalling the application. also when i was trying
to do a system restore i was told that not all of the system has been
downloaded & that i should reboot(which i did three times before i got past
that point.)HHHEEELLLPPPP?!?!?!?

It might help if you posted the error messages word for word. I seriously
doubt it said that "not all of the system has been downloaded."

And other details as well. Like what application failed to start?

And, by the way, making a backup of the registry doesn't fix anything, it
just gives you a way to go back if whatever you're doing messes it up
further. So if an article is telling you that backing up the registry will
correct a problem, I'd be skeptical that the article is going to be of much
use.

Maybe, overall, it would be better if you just posted the original problem
instead of nibbling at these bits and pieces that may not solve anything
after all.

Hi,

Use the instruction in the article below to restore the missing file.
