Running Windows XP Home. All was well until yesterday when I tried to
copy a CD. I discovered the DVD and CD drives on my computer had been
disabled. In Hardware device manager I see the red exclamation mark on
the yellow circle.
I have tried unsinstalling and trying to reinstall but am told the
drivers are missing or corrupted (Code 39)
Also when I connect an external DVD drive via USB the same occurs. Not
accessible and same yellow circle
I have uptodate Norton antivirus which tells me my system is not
infected.
The day before I had opened an e mail and Norton intercepted and
deleted W32.Mytob.DF@mm

Any suggestions as to cause and possible cure

Thx in advance
