recently, I've had to drag home a PC to work on, update, etc -
swim team, relatives, etc
It is a lot easier connecting it to our home LAN
and then download all the updates, etc -
However, it gets a little cramped what with the extra monitor,
the tower sitting in the middle of the floor, etc -
Most of the other connections are to wireless laptops in the house.
I've been looking at picking up a wireless USB device from eBay.
Any comments on how they work - getting a DHCP address,
support for Win98se, XP, etc -
and any comparison between the USB plug-in device vs the cabled module -

They work fine - just like any other USB device

They work exactly the same as any other Wifi device.
Get one with cable, much easier to position for best signal, half and inch
can make a difference also usually the higher the better.

Martin
