XP 2K Nvidia Refresh Annoyance

Hi all,

Is there a way to get WinXP (or 2K) to use the optimal refresh rate on a GeForce (GF3) OTHER than the Fix program from planetquake?

Why is this even an issue in this day? I don't get it.

I figured as much..you'd think nvidia and microsoft could actually have had this dealt with by now...the year 2002
