AutoPlay

Last response: in Windows XP
Share

Autoplay is playing around with me! I use a zip drive to back up and when I put the disk in it pops up the folder contents.I went into it's properties and told it No action on mixed contents and applied it. The end results is that it opens anyway. I have donethis a dozen times anf still it auto opens the files. Is there any other way of taking care of this. Thanks Bruce

More about : autoplay

ALL the autoplay handlers are stored in this registry folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr
entVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\Handlers\
.
Maybe check this out and see if there is an entry for your zip drive and delete it. Or, you could just change the 'Action' to, now I am not sure what to enter, but probably be 'NoAction' or 'TakeNoAction'.
