I have networked two laptops, both running on Windows XP, my computer is the
server, the other a workstation. When my computer is connected to either the
office network or wireless home network the software, Mortgage Brain, a
mortgage sourcing and date storeage programme works fine. My C drive is set
up to share and the software is mapped via a Z drive.
The problem occurs when I disconnect the network, if the programme is not
running and I try to open it I receive an error message "path not found" and
I am unable to open the programme. If the programme is still running when I
disconnect I can still run the programme but receive error message relating
to updating data.
I have contacted the software provider who says this is a windows problem.
Can anyone help?
