Hmm, you shoud be able to get around 1k higher. Post the rest of your system specs. OS, Ram, Mobo, programs you have running while your benchmarking, etc...

But the main thing is, how well are your games playing and are you happy with them?

Anything goes when it comes to hoes cuz pimpin aint easy.

What I'd like to do is just get all the settings right, I'll go into my bios and check the settings there. Then I'd like to try overclocking a little after that.

What is the best, safest Geforce overclocking tool available? Free of course :)

Thanks.

Well there is this tool that Nvidia put with their drivers. Here are the steps to unlock a "NVTweak" utility. First you run "regedit" then go into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\. There you have to add the DWORD "CoolBits". After creating that right click and modify. Put as a hexadecimal base 3. Reboot you're system and go into display and then setting and then advanced, and then click on the tab of your video card, then there should be a button that says "Additional Properties" There you can set your AA and overclock. You can only go so far with this program, but as I am not a hardcore overclocker, I don't care. I don't even know if it's with all Nvidia cards, but I know it works with mine. There are other utilities on download.com. Search for them and then read the user comments. Quite useful.

You forgot one of the most important things....The Operating System, Win9x/ME/2k/XP etc..

First thing you always want to do is disable programs running in your background when benchmarking. Virus, AOL, cdtrays, realplayer, and so forth.

Update your video card drivers, I reccommend getting them from the MSI's websight instead of Nvidia's. Make sure you uninstall your old drivers prior to installing newer ones.

For overclocking head over to GeforceTweak. It is a useful utility and it will allow overclocking without you having to manually play with the registry settings.

Anything goes when it comes to hoes cuz pimpin aint easy.

OR, you can get rivatuner from guru3d.com, easier to do, with no registry risks, as well as even more options to tweak in.

For the defaults just hit the "defaults" button.

They should be 1024x768x32, no AA, double frame buffer, compressed textures, 32bit z-buffer, D3D hardware T&L.

I run 2700 on a Radeon 32 SDR (not DDR) so I'm thinking your score is rather low. And I'm only at AGP 2x as well.

Thanks to all of you for replies.

I'll definitely check these tweaks out and let you know.

I know someone must have asked these questions below and so I appreciate the people are still bothered to reply again even though they may be repeating themselves.

Cheers.
