I just got my GF4 yesterday. A worthy upgrade from my GF2 MX.
Is PNY verto Geforce 4 TI 4400.

I was messing around with 3d mark 2001se today. First, I tried it with my default bios AGP setting of 2x. I got 8191 3d marks. Next, I enabled AGP 4X in my bios, and also enabled fast writes. I rebooted and tried 3d mark again. This time I got 8128 3d marks, which is less than with 2x. I ran it a second time, I got around 8158. I am just wondering why AGP 4x + fast writes doesn't make much of a difference.

My setup:
Athlon XP 1800+
512 MB Corsair PC2100
Abit KR7A-RAID.
Windows XP.
Nvidia 28.32 Detonators.

Maybe you already got all you could out of it. 8K 3D Marks sounds pretty good for that video card. That slight decrease in performance isn't noticable at all anyways and it's probably just the margin of error. Maybe try the 3DMark at a higher res and with AA filtering on. Then maybe you might see some difference in score. Just a thought.

There is not that much gain going from AGP2x to AGP4x. It certainly shouldn't go down, either, but never trust VIA to follow the rules, they may have had to slow some timing down on the AGP port to make it stable at either AGP4x or with fast-writes enabled.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
