finally got a MCX-462. what a wonderful piece of expensive technology. looks beautiful
not installed yet... proly wont have time till wednsday
but i did get to try out the fan... with rheostat attached.
it started nicely... was pumping out ALOT of air and not too noisy, till i turned it up to full where the fan almost took off!
wowsers!
definately defining that 68cfm delta!
yummme
cant wait to install it.
will give a full report of temp change
drool diddly drool
Excuse me for a moment. I need to drive my ergonomic wheely chair over a sheet of bubble wrap!
well im proly gonna have to wait till mid week to install it... just dont have time ATM.
also got a nice 80mm Pabst fan ~ 3900rpm.
exceedingly fast yet suprisingly quiet... almost on par with the thermaltakes... tizz a balanced fan, got little metal slithers in the fan hub.
so when i do install it i will have 4 fans to choose from
the delta with rheostat 3000 -> 4900 rpm
the pabst
the thermaltake
and a xinrullian ultra slow generic fan (dead silent though)
so ill try all 4 on my beast...
then see if i can reach 1500mhz

"Swiftech was on top of the world with the
MC462, and with the heated competition
pounding away, the MCX462 says "BACK OFF!!"
in a big way. It's expensive, but complaining
about the price is like complaining that a
BMW costs more than a Volvo. Both get the job
done, but the Beemer gets you the chicks.
