I am running an ECS K7S5A MB with a Duron 800, GF2 TI 64meg DDR with 384 meg of RAM and WinXP Pro. My best numbers are 2782 and 2777. After looking at the online results browser, this seems WAY too low. I have as much as possible shut down. I have the newest BIOS and Drivers available installed. Any ideas?

That's about as high as you can get with a Duron 800 and a GF2 Ti.

Yeah that's within the reasonable score range...but do consider the facts
1) ECS boards/SiS chipset are not of the top performance, they are more popular for tight budget
2) It does depend on how many spaces left in your HD, which affects System Resource Usage

The ECS K7S5A outperforms most other motherboard except most of those with KT266A and KT333 chipsets.

with a Geforce 2 you'll never get over like 3300 far as i know...my highest was like 3370 when i put one in a petium 1.7Ghz before i got my GF3, that doubled the score...

I'm sorry but that seems low to me... I would expect an 800mhz cpu with that card should do about 5000 or higher. I had a KT266A board that was defective and I got crappy scores in the 5000-7000 ranges with a Ti4600 and XP1800+... while getting close to 10000 with my other KT266A board and same components. My first guess would be the board is the problem, then #2 it could be the video card, #3 I would say is the memory. This could also be a compatibility issue with any one of these components including sound (or other PCI devices). my friend tested his PIII 800 with a G3 and scored I believe 5800 or so, but I don't know for sure... it was certainly in the 5000+ range.

OOOPS, sorry I thought you had a G3 Ti200... no that score is about right for a Geforce 2.

I am sitting at about 4990 with a G3 TI200 on a pc 850. I am still using the drivers that came with it and have not done much with the settings. Can you recommend anything that I can do to raise my score?

Make sure you use all the newest drivers. Nvidia, Motherboard, even soundcard.

Use version 23.11 for Geforce 2 and 3 series cards. Use version 28.32 for Geforce 4 series cards. Those are the best ones for their respective cards atm.
