Hey everyone. I'll be in the market for a new video card here pretty soon. Probably sometime in early June...maybe I can swing getting it now if I put off a fwe other things, but what do you guys think the best card is for $100-$120? Are the GeForce4s any good? I think it's the MX440-T made by MSI that I was lookin at. Any good? I play games a good deal(when I'm not bogged down with my programming assignments for college) and watch a lot of DVDs so I want the best quality for my $$. Any input on what the best card to get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

the gf4 ti4200 is coming out pretty soon...i think there are two versions of the ti4200...the 64mb and 128 mb version...oddly...the 128 mb gets slower ram (i think...its either slower ram or slower GPU....i dont remember)...
the ti4200 is supposedly going to start at about $179.
the gf4 ti4200 is great for games...but its dvd playback is questionable...so if you do get the ti4200...get the 64mb version...
the ati radeon 8500 on the other hand is another good chioce....it's great for both games and dvd playback...the only downside is that the R8500 has too many variations of itself...to save you the trouble...just look for the "ati radeon 8500 64mb retail" (if you're going ati that is)...ive seen them for about $150...

you can disregard that last post from me....i thought the subject was "$100-$200"....anyways...
you can still get the R8500...but not the retail version...the R8500 LE...aka oem is slower than the retail (retail = 275/275...LE = 250/250)...about 10% slower and cost around $100...but it gives you the same features found in the retail version...ie. great for games and dvd playback....
