128mb gf3 ti200or 64mb ti4200

I would like to know which will be better value. when the ti4200 releases the 64mb version will be cheapest. I would like to know if it will be quicker with games in a years time than a 128mb gf3 ti200. I think it may be yes but i would like a second opinion.

  1. i don't know for sure, but i would say the Ti4200 will last you longer. since it's the newest generation and stuff.
  2. the gf4 ti4200 is better than the ti200 128mb...this is in my opinion of course...

  3. 64mb of ram already is overkill, the improvement you get from a Ti4200 with faster core/memory is more beneficial to you than a slower card that has more memory than it knows what to do with. Heck I've seen the benchmarks, and a Ti200 with more ram has almost no advantage whatsoever over a Ti200 with "only" 64mb of onbaord memory. As far as I know the bottleneck is not from having too little ram... even at higher res (1280x1024, 1600x1200). I would definitally go with the G4, unless you can get a great deal on a G3, whether it be a 64 or 128mb card... cause that really donesn't make a difference
