It doesn't conflict with Lament of Innocence's story (which I intended
to get today after work to see how good it is).

Reading an interview with IGA, he says that he "purposefully" left
Legends out of the canon, and he was hesitant to answer the question
of whether he will ever make a Castlevania game with a female lead or
not.

He said that it would have been difficult to have a female lead in
games set in the past. I don't buy that.

From someone else, I heard that IGA supposedly said that video gamers
weren't ready to accept female lead characters in video games.

I guess he forgot about Lara Croft's phenominal sales power and, in
his own country, Samus Aran's.

I think he's just chauvenistic.

Does anyone know for certain why Legends was removed?
