Hey,

I have 512 mb ram with my inspiron 9300 (2x256)... I am looking to upgrade
to 1gb (2x512 or even 1x1gb)... what ram should i install for optimal
compatibility?

when I upgraded my memory I bought it from dell so I would not invalidate
the warranty.
you can buy it from anyone you like and if your system develops a problem
down the road
remember to put your original memory back in before having it serviced.
