NO Boot up

Hello
My son deleted some files from the my computer menu and he does not
know what he deleted. When I boot up the PC, just after the Dell cover
window I get This Error message:

NTLDR is missing press any key to restart.

When u press another key the error message repeats. I tried to boot up to
safe mode with the same results.
If any body has any ideas or sugestions i would greatly appreciate them..

I'm not able to boot up to any viable window to access any folders and i cant
even get into the dos menu. I even tried to use the win xp cd to boot up the
pc with no luck. The screen still has the same error message.

you could reinstall xp
or look for untilities such as these:
http://www.uneraser.com/
http://www.brothersoft.com/search.asp?keyword=dos+recover

You could also try using sfc.exe /scannow by using a floppy boot disk
