wireless access point trouble

i have a cheap WAC that i am having a devil of a time getting going.
it uses the web-based browser management system. is there anything
here familiar enough with this to help me get it going?

Also, can you recommend a cost-effective box that uses its own
software if this situation is a no-go?

Tell us which router, client and OS you are useing.
Read the manual, and explain where you are haveing trouble.

thats one of the main problems. the box just has a generic wireless
access point name on the box. i cant find the company name anywheres
on the box. all i do know that the model number is iwe1100.
i am running XP and the cd the manual was on got ruined when the setup
program for windows network manager crashed and ruined the cd. how i
don't know.
