Nintendo DS Repair Help

My son dropped his Nintendo DS and the upper screen now has lines
through it. The LCD screen under the digitizer appears to have ink
smeared on it. My Compaq Ipaq had the same problem and I was able to
order a new LCD screen and fix it.

Has anyone ever fixed one of these before and it so how hard was it?
Are there instructions on the net to do this? Where is the best place
to buy replacement parts?
