HOW DO I REMOVE WINDOWS XP FROM MY LAPTOP.IT IS NOT OPERATIONAL AND I AM
USING WINDOWS 2000 FOR OPERATING MY SYSTEM. I WANT TO UNINSTALL XP AND USE
THE MEMORY IT TAKS UP.

The normal way to "uninstall" any operating system is to format
the hard drive and install a new OS of your choice.

By the way, if you're not using WinXP, then it clearly isn't taking up
any memory.

Also, please unstick your CapsLock key. Posting in all caps, as
you have done, is the Usenet equivalent of shouting, and is considered
very rude by a large number of people. More importantly, posting in all
caps makes the post harder to read, further reducing your chances of
getting help.
