As I'm geting MS Visual Studio 2003 soon, does anyone have any hints & tips
about making games for the DS that aren't covered in any textbooks?

you're better off checking out a DS dev forum (or homebrew forum) since
they'd prolly be better informed.

As the other poster mentioned though, C++ tends to be the staple
language for game development. At least it WAS if not anymore.
