Acer Ferrari 3200 vs. Acer TravelMate 8003LMi

Hi!
I’m in great need of some good advice. I’ve been looking at two laptops, the Acer Ferrari 3200 AMD AthlonM 2800+ and the Acer TravelMate 8003LMi Centrino 1.6 GHz.

I’ll use the laptop for webDesign and webDevelopment, and other tasks related to that. I will most likely run Photoshop on it, and would therefore want a rather fast machine to work with.

How much of a performance difference is there between the AMD AthlonM 2800+ and the Intel Pentium M 1.6 GHz processor?

Oh yes, the AMD processor of the Ferrari 3200 is also a 64bit processor. At least it should be good for the future, but does it loose performance running 32bit OS and software?
