Hi all, I am hoping that someone can help me with this:

When I inserted my card, I managed to hold onto what looks like a capacitor on the card, just at the top left of the card (if you hold the card with the plate to the left).

Needless to say, it snapped off...and although I have the card working in my machine and it scores 100% on the 3dMark 2001 tests, I would love to know what the hell I have done to my card.

It has the numbers 102 330 6E on it if that helps.

Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks.

It was probably something that regulated the voltage. Your card may still work, but it's lifespan will likely be shortened, and stability may be a problem.
