I don't know about nView but I do know the latest drivers have vastly improved Hydravision. You can view overlay on either monitor now. What this means is that you can watch a DVD on one monitor and watch TV via a TV tuner on another. I'm not sure why you'd actually want to do that though.

I must know, wich graphic card should i buy: R8500 or GeF 4 4200(and yes, i saw new drivers from ATI - very impressing). Soon i'll have dual monitor system. (IE + Outlook, WOrd + IE;help, CorelDraw + PhotoShop... UT!,

BTW: do you know, how many RAMDACs R8500LE have?

The R8500LE 128MB? It has only 1 RAMDAC. The R8500 64MB and 128MB is what you want if you're looking for dual monitors. The GF4Ti4200 is slightly faster than the R8500 in 3D performance but I don't know about which has superior dual-monitor support.

Tnx, you saved me 190$ :). So only R8500 Retail does have 2 RAMDACs (one RAMDAC is only usefull if you use monitor and TV, but i don't). OK, let's wait for GeF 4 4200. tnx again.

Does someone else have expiriences with nView or Hydravison using dual (or more) monitors?

I have been using the nview (twinview) on my geforce2mx 400 for almost a year now, and all I have to say is that it rocks.. 3600x1200 is so sweet expecialy for what I do (graphic design) - I'm looking to upgrade to a geforce3 ti or a geforce4 with dual head, anyone have any opinions about cards to get?

Geforce 3 doesnt support dual monitors...only one of its outputs can be used at a time.

The Geforce 4 however, does support dual vga monitors using nView. nView is beautiful, we have both ATI and Quadro 4's running dual projection systems here where i work, and honestly, in comparision with nView, Hydravision is a bloody nightmare. They both work good in the end though....
