Windows 7 NVidia drivers issue?

Hi Guys: I am putting together a new rig. I was debating AMD vs. Intel but I found an i7 930 for $200 which I believe is a "no-brainer". As such, I have learned that in general, Intel chips pair well with NVidia cards whereas AMD chips pair with ATI cards well. However, my concern is that I have heard there are various driver issues with NVidia cards in Windows 7 machines. How valid are these claims? Are they serious enough to actually wait on getting a new card? I would like to put my machine together by late August.

  1. drivers are fine (for both NV and ATI), and ATI cards work just fine when paired with intel processors
  2. You should have no problem pairing an ATI GPU with an Intel CPU.
