another blue screen at startup

This morning switched on pc. started to boot then switched itself off
leaving me with a blue screen saying it had switched off to save the computer
from damage.
event viewer showed the follwing:Event Type: Error
Event Source: System Error
Event Category: (102)
Event ID: 1003
Date: 20/09/2005
Time: 07:26:55

Description:
