I recently recorded a video tape on a 8mm camcorder. After a few minutes the sound begins to get drowned out by a buzz (faulty mic?). As the video progresses the buzz gets worse, to the point where you cannot hear the recorded sound only the buzz. Is there a way that I can filter the garbage noise and capture the actual sound on this video? Do you know of a vendor that does this type of work?

Doubtful. Most likely the mic was faulty and that's what was recorded, and the desired recording is probably nonexistent. It might be able to be recovered, but at high cost and poor results (though, better results with the more you spend).
