My nvidia 9500gt has 1gb ram but windows 7 showing that it has 1779mb ram

I have a 1gb nvidia 9500 gt graphics card. when i was using xp then it was showing that my 9500gt has 1gb ram. but recently i am using windows 7 ultimate and now windows 7 is showing that my graphics card has 1779mb ram. 1gb ram in graphics card and 755mb ram is sharing from system memory. my question is that my nvidia 9500gt can not share ram from system memory but how in windows 7 it can shre ram from system memory? Is it good for my hardwares? plz help me ........................

It's fine - Win 7 is reporting system memory assigned to your card, where XP did not.

But My graphics card has no facilitie of shareing memory from system, than how it can shareing 779mb from system memory in windows 7 . And my system is also showing that my computer has 2gb system memory. please say me what happening in my computer...........

I agree with scotteq, it's either that or your card is broken as my 9500GT 1GB shows as having 2815MB's of RAM which is three times what I paid for, bonus! [:mousemonkey:3]
