ATI Fire GL 8800 is screwing me!

My ATI Fire GL 8800 doesnt work with Windows 2000. It crashes my operating system at boot. Has anyone else seen this and have a solution? NVidia cards of thaat caliber cost twice as much and I don't have that kind of bread in the budget.

How much did you pay for it, and what's ur profession?

$650 and it was a really great deal. IS/IT/Eng Support. I have the sneaking suspicion that MS doesnt support ATI fully. Can you shed some light on the subject?

Hmm, see you can get a Quadro 750GXL for $570. Sadly, I only use quadros for my work. Have you made sure all previous driver installations were deleted, and also try different driver versions.
