OK............got my NEC 1250+ and hooked it up on the primary display connector on my GeForce2 Ultra running reference drivers 28.32. I have my Iiyama Visionmaster 450 connected to the other connector on the same video card. When I boot up, I get exactly the same display on both monitors, but the Iiyama is nowhere to be found in the device manager. In the Windows display applet all I see is one monitor when I guess I should see two as well. I want the other monitor to be an extension of my primary monitor, but how do I need to set it up?

Thanks, Fritz

GeF 2 Ultra does not have two RAMDACs. You have to buy one more card (PCI), or new card with two RAMDACs (MAtrox G550, ATI 7500, 8500; GeF 4 Ti).

Thank you very much for the info on that........I in fact have a Gainward Ti4600 sitting next to me that I will install in my new machine as soon as the new motherboard and memory get here on Monday. I guess I will then be able to extend my desktop as I want to, correct?

Thanks for the tip.......it was driving me nuts.

Yeah since the GF4 has dual 350MHz RAMDACs then you'll be able to use your 2 monitors separately or together. So that way you'll be able to stretch your desktop to 2 monitors. I wished I had a dual monitor setup to play games.... MMMMMM *slobber*

My firewall tastes like burning.
