Hello :)
I'm willing to buy a Radeon8500 (Built by ATI, 64MB), and throughout my searching for one, I encountered this:
http://www.enpc.com/cgi-bin/enpc/ATIR8500OEM.html
Now, the page mentions that this is the 275MHz version (or I might be mistaken), but a friend told me that it's the 230/230 version (not sure how he got to that conclusion though). Can I have anyone's opinion about this?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know where your friend got that from. Its a bulk card, so it will come in a white box, not that retail box. But thats about it, if it says 275, it should be. I've seen places just not mention its an LE, showing pics of a ATI 8500, not 8500le, when in fact it was a 8500le.

write an email and ask them if it's the proper 8500 retail clocked at 275core/memory or is it the overclocked oem version or Le.

I can't seem access ENPC.com.

How about a Radeon 8500LE 64MB OEM clocked at 250/275 for $99? This is what I just ordered from Newegg.com. I know they are spec'd at 250/250 for a retail 8500LE and 230/230 for the OEM versions. However customer comments at Newegg say the card is shipping with 3.3 ns Hynix memory and are stock clocked at 250/275. 3.3 ns memory should easily run at 300 mhz.

Anyway, I'm hoping the claims are true.

Here's the link.

playback w/tv cable only - NO DVI to VGA Adaptor!

What does that mean?

Can I use this card with just a regular monitor? Do I need to get this adapter? What is DVI?

Well, I got this reply from ENPC today:
"Hi,

This is actually product from ATI with 275/275Mhz with 5ns memory on
it.

Thank you,

ENPC.COM"

Thanks for the info phsstpok :)
But now, if I may, I'd like to ask for another advice. Should I get the 250/250 8500LE version with 3.3ns memory, or the 275/275 version with 5ns memory?
Thanks again.

First of all, it can't have 5 NS memory. It's listed with 3.6 NS memory which is what you need to run 275.

If you don't plan on OCing the card, get the bulk 8500 with 3.6NS mem. Otherwise, get the one with 3.3 BGA, as it will OC much better.
