Awsome footage - what did they get 17 - 19 inches? And what material was that roof made of?
Thanks,
Dave

I heard that they got 17 inches, but that's not for sure. The roof panels are made of teflon sheets sewn together somehow that can be inflated and deflated. I know that they deflated it a bit to compensate for the additional snow, but it didn't work well.

Looks like the Giants and Vikings will be playing in Detroit tonight.

It's that global warming.

Saw that on the news, I'm just glad the cheerleaders weren't underneath it. :)

If the Vikings cannot get a new stadium built some time in the near future, I suspect that they'll move. I've head of the them moving to LA, but who knows if that will fly.

I cried when the metrodome collapsed, it just pains me to see so much hard work wasted with snow

If they build a new stadium with a roof, they'll definitely look into something far more sturdier to handle the snow. Either that or they can somehow remodel the Metrodome like they did to Soldier Field some years back.

I hope they do move. I am tired of them sucking money from my pocket for something I don't care to watch or have anything to do with. Rich arrogant pricks playing sports is a waste of time and money. Forced by taxes to pay for something like this is a joke.

It can be a frustrating affair for some when tax payer money goes towards stadiums and such. However, such investments usually turn out well for the city in question, as such stadiums bring in mega bucks on the revenue side of things and eventually, will start paying for itself.

Well I don't care how it turns out for the city when they are robbing the public to pay for their crap.

Fair enough. You have every right to that opinion. But if you want to get your point across, it may be worthwhile to make various appearances at city council meetings to discuss it or even get a petition going. You also have the option of voting for a candidate(s) that agrees with you on the matter.
